Process
Marling’s album is a collection of memories from many years of a relationship. I used physical collage for this design to evoke this feeling of memories being joined together as well as the physical journaling aspect of scrapbook journaling.

Final Artwork Front and Back
Through the songs Marling describes themes such as the traditional structure of male/female romantic relationships, seeing someone only as you want to imagine them as, and overbearing control from the other person in the relationship. I represented these themes as traditonal calssical temples in decay, blank faces, and hands that appear to be reaching out to snatch at something.
